Information for Fall 2009:

After a long summer of rest, the SFIC is ready for some action...Wall Street action, that is.  WIth that said, the SFIC is proud to announce its newest venture: a Team Investment Portfolio.  The SFIC has been working hard on creating this new venture to assist students in learning more about trading while at the College of Charleston. This new venture will allow 20-30 students the opportunity to research stocks in various markets and determine each week as a group which stocks to trade in our on-line investment simulator. The team's decision will be overlooked by the SFIC advisors followed by past speakers and finance professionals in the Low Country.  The team will be using the simulation portfolio to compete nationally in several competitions throughout the year. Please visit the Team Investment Portfolio page for more information.

Mission:

The goal of the Student Finance and Investment Club is to foster growth and understanding of Finance among College of Charleston undergraduates. The Club both aims to educate students on the opportunities that exist in the fields of Finance and Investment and to encourage their growth in these areas through seminars by local business people. Together with distinguished guests from within and outside of the College of Charleston faculty, the club seeks to educate students so that they can be successful in their post-graduate career.
